What are the benefits of having my home organized?

The space around us has a huge impact on our physical and mental well being. An organized home helps bring a sense of calm to your life while minimizing stress. You will find yourself having more time because you’ll know where everything is located and that makes your day-to-day life easier. Plus, having an organized home can even save you money! 

What spaces can you organize?

I can organize your kitchen, pantry, closet, bathroom, bedroom, laundry room, play room, entertainment room, home office, and more. Garages and sheds are excluded. Unfinished basements are determined on a case-by-case basis. 

Can you organize more than one space at a time?

I’ll organize one space per organizing session, but you can put a deposit down and book several sessions at once. We can develop a schedule that works best for your time and budget. 

How quickly can you come and organize my space?

There is a minimum of 2 weeks between the consultation and organizing session so there’s adequate time to space plan and shop. However, if I am booked out wait times may vary. 

What is your service area?

West Michigan Organizing Co. is based out of Grand Rapids and serves a 40 mile radius.

Do I have to purchase product?

Product is almost always recommended because the right product makes all the difference. Often spaces become disorganized because items aren’t contained. Investing in product will help ensure there’s a system in place to keep your home organized for years to come. And the best part is I do all the shopping for you! 

Do I have to get rid of or donate items to have my space organized? 

If you’re not interested in getting rid of items you don’t have to, but it may be recommended. Remember, you don’t want something taking up valuable space in your home if it’s not serving a purpose or bringing you joy. Make room for the things that truly serve your life!

Can I go through my belongings before you come to save time?

Can you donate items for me?

Absolutely! All organizing packages include donation drop-offs. That’s one less task on your to-do list! Some limitations may apply (e.g., furniture).

Do I have to be home while you organize? 

If we're doing a large editing and purging process, you have to be home. Otherwise, we can stay in touch throughout the day via texting and calls. Then you come back for the big reveal!

Do you organize vacation rentals?

Do you organize businesses?

Absolutely. I can organize your supply closet, break room, personal office space, and more. Find more information here.

Do you work in hoarding environments?

No, I am not certified or trained to do so. I recommend seeking professional help for hoarding scenarios.

Can you help me move in and organize my new home?

Yes! I’d love to help you start your new chapter with an organized home. While, I do not coordinate or offer packing and moving services. Once your belongings are in your new home I can unpack and organize them for you.

What will organizing my space cost?

Every space and client is different which means every project will have a different budget. That said, WMOC offers three organizing packages as base investments — the mini, the signature, and the overhaul. All organizing products are an additional cost to each package. Do you make a profit off of the product used in a space?

A 10% shopping convenience fee is applied to all organizing products. Convenience fees are a common practice in the home design industry.
